TIP O’ THE MONTH. BEWARE OF ICE!

Never walk pigs over sheet ice! Last year I had to have a very good saddleback breeding sow put down as she did the splits with her back legs and never got up again. Although we gave her lots of TLC the damage was too severe for her to walk again. Its essential that everyone handling the pigs is aware of this as the accident here at Bridgefield Farm occurred in my absence.
