Tip of the month

Try to keep your pigs inside until the ground dries up. Pigs with heavy bodies and small feet quickly paddle up soft ground and quickly spoil pig paddocks. A dry wind and longer days can turn a wet field into hard going in a few days. I usually turn out in late April/early May (depending on the weather) onto pig paddocks re seeded in the autumn.
